The Return of the Attar
For centuries, the city of Kannauj has been the perfume capital of India, producing the world’s finest attars through slow, meticulous hydro-distillation. Yet, somewhere along the way, traditional Indian perfumery became associated with heavy, synthetic, and outdated aesthetics.
We created Crimson & Root to change that.
We bridge the gap between ancient botanical heritage and modern, minimalist luxury. By stripping away the loud packaging, the synthetic fillers, and the alcohol, we let the purity of the ingredients speak for themselves. This is traditional Indian perfumery, reimagined for the modern everyday signature.

The Apothecary Hardware
Every drop is housed in a heavy-weight, UV-protective vintage amber glass vial. We use surgical-grade stainless steel rollerballs for a cooling, precise, and intimate application.
